BIO
Henry Vincent was born in 1966 in East Detroit, Michigan, and lives and works in Los Angeles, California, and Dawson City, Yukon. In 1984, he enrolled at the University of California, San Diego, where he met Robert Irwin, Bruce Naumann, and Nam June Paik. In 1994, he earned an MFA at Columbia University, where he specialized in printmaking.
Over the past three decades, Vincent's work has been exhibited in the Museo Reina Sofía, the Ludwig Museum, the MAK Center, and the Sevilla Biennale, curated by legendary art critic Harald Szeemann. Vincent has also appeared in films by Jason Rhoades, Una Szeeman, and Raymond Pettibon alongside Kim Gordon. Vincent has also shown works alongside Charles Ray, André Butzer, Mike Kelley, and others in group exhibitions. He has also exhibited at Kantor Gallery, Burnett Miller Gallery, Wild Cran Gallery, and Patrick Painter.
